Initiation of Nanke's critical development stage
|

The alteration for the developing plan of Tainan Science Park Specific District (New town development districts of both blocks L&M) had held the ground-breaking ceremony on Sept. 29, 2005, symbolizing Nanke Specific District has formally entered developing growth stage. In the future, it will provide the relative service facilities for the science park, which will allow the park area and the adjoining land to be developed in order; thus, promoting reasonable development for the living circle in the park area.

The first-created floating zone development

This Specific District plan, after receiving permission from the Executive Yuan on August 2003, incorporated the bidding of Entrepreneurs to accrue funds for development so as to process the land imposing. After the imposed lands are planned and organized, these left over lands, which can be used for construction are then yielded to the entrepreneurs for their business ventures. This is the first system that has ever created for the first time and it also shows the government's determination to break through the obstacles to attract investment. The plan first adopted the concept of “floating zone” and separated the zones into agricultural zone ( for “living service zone” development” and agricultural zone (for “industrial support zone” development), authorizing the Entrepreneurs for the detailed plans to perform lively and flexible land development.

In order to secure the development of Nanke Specific District, the county government proposed the first-created development concept of “ floating zone” in Taiwan. Under the teamwork of the county government team with creative, professional and firm enforcement, they accomplished this impossible mission. Currently, under this high-flexible and effective development mode, the LCD Zone will just need a year and half and the L &M blocks will need two years to complete the development, which is twice as fast as initially anticipated of the government. Nevertheless, the central government won't even cost over a penny to complete this 2,540,000,000 NT construction. All these experiences whether being difficult, sorrowful or joyful are an excellent example for the country.

Promote the Economics & Development of the Adjoining Townships

The continual work on the 60-meter north-south blvd. In the Tainan Science Park Specific District connects the LCD-TV Zone, which also allows direct access to the Anding Interchange, The 50-meter Siraya Blvd. Connects Tai-1 Road and outwards traffics of Tainan Science Park. The 25-meter east-west direction road in the north will ease the traffic jams condition at Nanke Hsinshegang Blvd. Through these three roads to open up the key points of the Nanke road net, allowing Nanke traffic networking to be more express and convenient and they can connect to every important metropolis, airports and ports in Taiwan.

After completion, the park will be provided with a more express and convenient traffic system allowing for leisure spaces and fasten the smoothness of entrepreneurs’ logistics into the park area. Moreover, the employees of this park area can go to adjoining townships for accommodations due to the convenience of the traffic, which will also excite the economical achievement of the adjoining townships; therefore, entrepreneurs will be more willing to invest in the designated district or the adjoining townships so as to promote the living development of the adjoining townships.

Just around the corner, transformed into Internationalized New Towns

In order to satisfy the leisure shopping needs and the general living demands of local residents, the curved roads shaped like sea weed located on the southern side of the planned district, close to Siraya Blvd. This street runs 20-meter in a south-north direction. Here plans are to develop composite shopping malls and a general commercial zone, catering to the Nanke Industrial Distric Commercial hotel. There are also plans for hotel zoning located at the south-east corner of the planed district close to Siraya Blvd.

In Regards to the two main planed roads in the east-west direction road (15 meters wide) and the south-north road (20 meters wide) in this planed district, they will be planed to be landscape green shade roads, connecting with the open spaces in this planed district and utilizing the original water and space system along with combining with Nanke Cambridge Plan, here they will be able to construct a complete ecological main zone and create a new internationalized town.
