Turning point of the industry restructuring in Tainan County
		The main purpose of traditional business aims at profiting, because only when it profits is it possible of other business activities. When the market potential and the industry technological opportunities increase, the market force is also the driving force of promoting company's research and development. When there is profit, enterprises increase the research spending. In addition, the demand technology and market information of the enterprises, is also very urgent, but the enterprises may be too small or do not know where to go to collect information, thus resulting in lost of opportunities and failure to promote the development of research.
		Based on this, the county's government works hard on providing various information channels, helping to create an enabling environment for the development of research, and on October 2002 setting up Economic Technology Station (in July 2006 renamed as the Bureau for Economic Development), focusing on dealing with Tainan County’s trades, and organized science and industry courses in R & D centers of National ChungCheng University, ChungGung University, in science and development centers, and the southern branch of the Academia Sinica, etc., in order to enhance research and development capabilities.
